Investors are being warned to treat property hotspot guides with caution as the criteria used to compile them may vary from one to another.
Propertyshowrooms.com says that while one website may name a certain country as the best place to buy property, another will put the same country further down the list because it has used different criteria to compile its guide.
For example it may not have considered the legal procedures required to complete a property purchase in a particular country and hence another website which does take this factor into account may rate that country higher or lower.
"A healthy helping of caution is required," says Propertyshowrooms.com. "Lists can serve as a general indicator of a country's potential but they should never be used as substitute for good research."
The international property portal says its website is different because it takes into account a wide range of factors when compiling lists of top property hotspots to ensure they are unbiased and reliable.
Its International Property Investment Network provides investors with up to date information on investment opportunities around the world including free consultations with advisors and access to pre-release developments.
