Britain's workforce could be more flexible with their holidays when they get extra time off work, experts have suggested.
Speaking ahead of the introduction of increased holiday entitlement for full-time workers, Thomson.co.uk said that people would use the extra days to go on short breaks.
Overseas property investors would be likely to benefit as a result, as more people would be using their accommodation at different times of the year.
Speaking to Travel Weekly, a Thomson spokesperson said: "People who have had little flexibility with their holiday in the past now have enough to enjoy a good two-week break or just take off for a weekend or midweek short break."
This comes after a recent poll found that many Britons would like an extra bank holiday introduced in the UK.
