The number of people choosing to visit Spain and Portugal could increase following the launch of a new website.
Tourism authorities in both countries have worked together in designing the online travel guide in order to market the Iberian Peninsula as a single location.
As a result, holidaymakers in the region may be more inclined to cross the border and visit major attractions of the neighbouring country.
The website will act as a single source of information on both Spain and Portugal, offering advice and recommendations on where to eat, visit and relax.
Javier Pinanes, director of the Tourist Office of Spain, commented: "This new site provides a truly engaging experience and is a major step in how we market the two destinations to the world."
He told Homes Worldwide that he was "delighted" to offer people the chance to learn about the whole Iberian Peninsula.
According to Holiday-Rentals, Spain and Portugal are two of the most popular countries among foreign property buyers from the UK.
