According to a Mintel Survey Spain scored highest marks throughout. The Spanish property market accounted for 41% of overseas property purchases by Britons and also predicts that the UK-Spanish Property Market will DOUBLE in the next 5 years, with just under a staggering 100,000 British citizens purchasing a home in Spain during this period. This is obviously excellent news for the Real Estate companies in Spain, but its also great news for Property Purchasers for several reasons: 1) For Investors with the insight to buy now, there will be no shortage of people wishing to buy your property, with our Investment Network we offer properties with little money down requirements and as we can get discounts and early entry04 into quality projects for our member investors this means that great financial gains can be made in the next few years. It also means that with thousands more families moving to Spain there will be a huge increase in the rental market due to visiting family and friends. Also Spain secured its place as the second most popular Tourist destination in the world in 2003 with 52 million tourists and with 60% (and rising year on year) of these visitors staying in rented accommodation this further underlines the security offered by the rental market in Spain, especially the Costa del Sol which claims 64% of Spanish Tourism and the Mediterranean's only 52 week tourist destination. 5) Local infrastructure is constantly improving in many areas to cater for the increase in the British. For those with children this means quality schools and the ability to live a new life in the sun with minimal upheaval. 640,000 new homes were built in Spain during 2004 with a further 2 million within 6 years to cater for demand. In 2003 re-sale property prices rose by 24% and new builds by 18.5% and although there is no guarantee that these figures will remain year on year growth is steady at 10-12% per year.
