Malaga Airport is Expanding

Malaga airport already caters for 6,555 passengers passing through at peak times. This capacity is currently being increased to serve the hoards of visitors congesting the airport. When you fly in to Malaga today you are greeted by diversions and construction works now in full-swing to create a fantastic new passenger terminal. The terminal will be an extension of the current building, keeping everything under one roof. Departing passengers will be able to arrive by coach, taxi or private car and proceed to Departures without having to go outside at all. A transport exchange centre is being built here, boasting a huge coach station and a railway terminal. The extra 224,000 square metres is good news to the property investor, allowing a maximum of 9,000 passengers through the airport at peak periods and greatly increasing the efficiency of the airport. Travel to and from Malaga airport will become an even simpler procedure and do yet more to raise Malaga’s growing international profile.
