UK buyers who purchase properties in Spain and let them out to tourists or tenants are being urged to manage their investments more wisely.
According to International Law Partnership, investors can expect to earn around five per cent of the value of their property each year if they are on top of their finances.
John Howell, senior partner, said: "It does depend on you being organised, using a good agent and putting in time and effort."
Writing for International.news.bg, Mr Howell also said that agents should not make unrealistic predictions about the rental potential of properties as this could lead to problems for investors at some point in the future.
According to research by the Association of International Property Professionals, Spain represents almost 32 per cent of overseas property investments owned by British investors.
