Spanish property investors are sure to be encouraged by news that BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways (BA), has announced that it will be running a new route to Spain.
The firm will run a new route to Malaga in the Costa del Sol and increase the frequency of flights to Palma on the island of Mallorca.
BA's decision forms part of a wider improvement for holiday travellers with a 39 per cent increase in leisure flights from the capital's airport for the summer season.
The three-time weekly flights to Malaga will start from June 8th this year, highlighting the continued popularity of this region in Spain and its year round appeal.
The flights to Palma and Ibiza will increase from four to ten per week between July and September.
Ignacio Osle, sales and marketing director of Taylor Wimpey de Espana, said: "Demand is high for the Costa del Sol and Mallorca with many air travellers taking their holidays in these sunshine destinations but also we have great number of home owners in these regions so more flights allows greater flexibility in accessing second homes throughout the year."
