An increasing number of holidaymakers are looking to book their summer trips as early as possible in an attempt to secure the best deal, new research has found.
The results of a study by Thomson Al Fresco have suggested that as many as 40 per cent of Brits will be booking next years trips during October, with the recent bad weather forcing people to think about their 2011 sunshine break.
''People are already fed up with the inclement autumn weather and they want a holiday to look forward to.” Darren Marsh, Thomson Al Fresco managing director, confirmed.
''They also want to make sure they get the holiday they want next year so book early to make sure their annual summer trip is guaranteed.''
The news may be of interest to individuals looking to rent property in Spain, with an increasing number of holidaymakers looking to book early.
Indeed, the report found that one-third of Brits heading abroad next summer will be making their way to Spain or France.
