A growing number of developers in Spain are looking to sell their properties due to the worsening global recession, it has been claimed.
According to director of real estate firm Titan Properties Andrew Benitz, prices of homes in the Costa de la Luz's Huelva province have been falling, prompting him to urge buyers to "act now" before the market begins to recover.
"Discounts of 30 to 40 per cent, previously unheard of, are now achievable," he stated, adding that how long prices in the region remain low is "anyone's guess".
"Western Costa de la Luz is finally succumbing to the bargain bug," he added, noting that the property markets in the more heavily developed Costas have already been "floundering" for some time given the current economic climate.
UK-based property developer Taylor Woodrow recently argued that Spain's popularity is unsurprising, as it offers a favourable climate and cheap property within a relatively short distance from the UK.
