Buyers looking for a property in Spain are drawn to Mallorca with good reason, one real estate expert has claimed.
Ignacio Osle, sales and marketing director of Taylor Wimpey de Espana, stated that the Spanish island is "considered one of the most popular locations in which foreign nationals search for a second home".
He added that there are many reasons that people are drawn to Mallorca, including its climate, World Heritage sites and blue-flag beaches.
According to the Spanish House Price Index published earlier this month by Kyero.com, the Balearic island had the second-highest property values in the nation in the second quarter of the year, with Barcelona noted as the most expensive market.
The research also revealed that prices on the island had risen between March and June of this year.
Despite Mallorca recording an increase, overall Spanish real estate values have dipped in the second quarter of the year to reach €262,800 (£231,271), compared to the first three months of 2011 when average prices were €270,400.
