The Spanish property market may be boosted by the launch of new flights from the UK.
This weekend, LTE International Airways will begin offering passage to Alicante from Norwich Airport.
Consumers in the Norfolk region have been without direct flights to the resort for nearly a year, as Flybe stopped operating this route last July.
However, they will now be able to enjoy what Norwich Airport's managing director Richard Jenner describes as affordable and convenient services.
The improved connectivity could lead to Alicante becoming a more appealing location among prospective holiday home buyers in Norfolk.
Alternatively, the potential boost to tourism is likely to make it a good option for buy-to-let investors.
Speaking to the Norwich Evening News, Mr Jenner commented: "Travellers from across our catchment area have been delighted to see the launch of new services to Spain."
This comes after Reuters has cited official figures showing that during the first quarter of the year, Spain attracted 10.6 million holidaymakers.
