Non-Tourist Areas in Spain Recommended to Investors
Article Date : 01 February 2008
Investors who want to buy a Spanish property have been advised to look away from the obvious tourist hotspots.
Paul Collins from the BuyAssociation website stated that investment opportunities were available in different parts of the country.
For example, he said Murcia was an "up and coming" market because an international airport in the area had recently been opened.
In addition, he suggested that people could capitalise on demand for rental accommodation among groups other than holidaymakers.
Mr Collins commented: "People are also looking at things like university towns and are buying properties that they can rent out to university students."
He added that since lots of properties were currently for sale in Spain, prospective buyers would benefit from taking their time when choosing what to buy.
A recent survey of foreign investment property owners by A Place in the Sun magazine found that Spain was still the most popular destinations among Britons.
