Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has bought a house in Madrid ahead of his possible move to Real Madrid according to Spanish sports newspaper Marca.
Ronaldo has reportedly bought a property in Madrid 's Morajela district. The Manchester United star's reported new house is not far from the president of Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon, and the team's German coach Bernd Schuster.
The Madrid property would not be the only recent addition to Ronaldo's portfolio; in May it was reported that the player had bought a strip of beachfront land on the island of Porto Santo, off the coast of his native Madeira .
The Times further speculates on Ronaldo's future at Manchester United; the Portuguese winger last week announced that he hoped to join Real Madrid, although no formal bid has yet been made.
Although a deal has not yet been officially made with Manchester United, Calderon is optimistic: "If he [Ronaldo] continues to insist on wanting to come and Manchester lets him leave, then we will ask what the price is."
