Spain is still the most popular holiday destination among Scottish people, according to an expert.
Bill Munro, spokesperson for Barrhead Travel, stated that the strength of the euro against the pound has not dented the appeal of the country.
This is despite recent reports suggesting that consumers are increasingly opting to travel outside the eurozone to places such as Egypt, rather than pay over the odds in Europe.
Speaking to the Herald, Mr Munro remarked: "I'm not sure about England but the Scottish people definitely like Spain and in particular Majorca."
He added that although the country is more expensive than rival markets such as Turkey, it is still the most popular location overall.
Spain was recently highlighted as a highly affordable place to visit by Frances Tuke of the Association of British Travel Agents.
Speaking to the Western Mail, she said it offers much cheaper prices than other countries in the eurozone.
