Several Spanish destinations are to see an increase in flights from budget airline easyJet sooner than originally planned.
The budget carrier has revealed that it is bringing forward plans to expand its operation out of Manchester from August to May 21st.
Destinations that will see more flights at an earlier date include Malaga, Alicante and Tenerife.
UK commercial manager Carla Brear remarked: "Customers in the north-west can now take advantage of even more of easyJet's famously low fares to the summer hotspots across Europe."
Such flights may help increase tourism in these parts of Spain, which in turn could encourage those thinking of buying rental property there.
One place more people may like to visit is San Blas on the southern tip of Tenerife, Times travel writer Peter Stothard suggested earlier this month.
He described the area as one of "mysterious twisted ravines, volcanic shafts and caves".
