Spain 'suitable for property investors'

Spain has been highlighted as a place that offers good conditions for overseas property buyers.

The European country was praised by Holiday Lettings for providing investors with a number of benefits, such as strong tourism and the potential for capital growth.

British buyers were also said to feel very comfortable there, hence its widespread appeal as a holiday destination.

According to the firm, Spain is one of the most popular destinations for families travelling abroad during school breaks.

Ross Elder, managing director of the firm, said the affordability of travelling to the country is another factor in its favour, as it is well-served by a number of low-cost airlines.

He added: "[The] potential for capital gains appreciation will entice investors."

This comes after YourMortgage cited a study by UKForex which showed that more than nine out of ten British expatriates in Spain were happy with their new lives.
