Spain's Costa de la Luz is finally catching up with the rest of Spain and lowering its prices, it has been stated.
Titan Properties has said the area held back from providing bargains and buyer incentives during the recent downturn but has now adjusted to the realities of the market, meaning those keen on buying in Spain may find cheap property in this vicinity.
Director of the firm Andrew Benitz commented that the area "has been a long-standing favourite with discerning natives in search of a sophisticated summer destination and several wealthy entrepreneurs from Spain's industrial north have offered their expertise to building luxurious residential resorts".
He said that his own company is among those offering bargains, such as developments on Isla Canela, which lies in the mouth of the River Guadiana that marks the border between Spain and Portugal.
The Costa de la Luz has a very low number of British tourists, which means there are few "tacky" English-style cafes, Daily Telegraph travel writer Fred Mawer has said, noting that most local eateries are Spanish.
Such a situation may appeal to those who prefer to experience a different culture.
