Spanish golf resorts 'could be a good choice for property investors'
Article Date : 18 November 2011
News Section: Spain
People hoping to buy a property in Spain may want to target the country's golf resorts, after one estate agency highlighted the resilience of this part of the tourism industry.
Sales and marketing director of Taylor Wimpey de Espana Marc Pritchard pointed out that Spain has one of the world's largest markets for golf tourism and described the sector as "resilient and reliable".
He advised potential investors in Spanish real estate to seriously consider the merits of owning an asset in a golf resort.
"You are buying into a community spirited neighbourhood that affords excellent facilities and green surroundings, as well as potential high returns from consistent demand should you chose to rent the property out," Mr Pritchard stated.
Among the most popular golfing destinations in the country are Andalucia - which includes the Costa del Sol - the Balearic Islands and Catalunya.
With over 50 courses, including famous destinations such as the Valderrama Golf Club, Andalucia is Spain's premier golfing region.
