Those buying primarily for lifestyle reasons instead of investment will find Spain a very good destination, it has been stated.
Speaking to the Independent, chief executive of property firm Assetz Stuart Law remarked that the oversupply of homes has been one of the main factors driving Spanish property values down and this makes investment buying a "difficult" option to make a success of.
However, he said, the reverse is true for lifestyle buyers, remarking: "The very problem that would cause an issue to an investor is what is helping push prices down. There is massive choice and also some very good pricing."
A sunny climate, sandy beaches and its proximity to the UK were all noted by Mr Law as reasons many Britons continue to purchase there.
Figures from Spain's National Institute of Statistics recently revealed an ongoing trend in recent months for the number of property transactions to rise.
Since bottoming out in April, the number has steadily increased to record its best monthly total of the year in July, Kyero.com noted.
