A Spanish fishing village is likely to receive increasing attention from tourists after the country's tourism board chose the location to feature in a new advertising campaign.
El Rompido, in Huelva at the western tip of Costa de Luz, will be included in print advertisements around the world highlighting the attractions of the area.
Property investors in Spain may wish to take note of the move and consider making purchases in the area in anticipation of the potential increase in tourism.
Andrew Benitz of Titan Properties, whose head office is located in El Rompido, stated that the village should benefit as a result of the global exposure.
"Second home hunters are potentially missing out on one of Spain's hidden treasures," he explained, adding that "some much-deserved attention and education" could be brought to the area as a result of the advertisements.
The Costa de Luz area recently received praise from the Daily Telegraph, which noted that it is ideal for holidaymakers seeking a destination without "tacky anglicised cafes".
