An historic area of Tenerife has been hailed in a feature on holidays in the area.
Times travel writer Peter Stothard described the San Blas area as being a particularly interesting one on an island where much of the historical detail is shrouded in controversy and mystery.
He said the area is one featuring "mysterious twisted ravines, volcanic shafts and caves where men and women prayed for rain, paddled for fish and pounded their corn meal, probably for 2,000 years".
Mr Stothart noted that the San Blas district is located away from the tourist heartlands of the islands, which may be of interest to property investors seeking less crowded and commercialised places.
Other buyers may be keen on popular attractions in the archipelago, such as golf.
Hotel Seoul Korea recently commented that Tenerife has the second oldest golf course in Spain, with six venues in all.
