Tenerife in potential tourist property boost

A new tourist attraction has been opened on the island of Tenerife, which may help boost the tourist buy-to-let sector on the island.

Siam Park, reportedly the largest water park in Europe, is a Thai-themed attraction aimed at families.

One of its top rides is the Tower of Power, which sends visitors hurtling down an almost vertical drop past a tank full of alligators.

The Mekong Rapids and the Dragon are among the other rides.

Such an attraction may particularly boost family tourism, which could help add to demand for properties suitable to be let to this demographic.

Earlier this week the island, the largest in the Canaries, was identified as the most popular overseas buyer destination in Spain.

A study of the 60,000 Google searches for Spanish property in July by business website Global Edge found that 13,000 were for Tenerife.
