Spain is well known for its stunning white Villas in prestigious Marbella or in the Hills of Mijas. Villas are the preferred property type for most of us and usually represent the higher end of the property budget range although this is NOT always the case.

In Spain this could also be a finca, cortijo, or Spanish house all of which are mostly found in rural areas and due to their rustic location away from the premium coastal land the price is far cheaper. A true Spanish villa as you imagine it is typically found within a small community or Urbanization and not too far from the coast. Spanish villas usually come with a relatively small amount of private land (compared to a rural finca) and often have swimming pools.

Price

Most people looking for a Spanish home to buy have a budget. So naturally this is a factor when looking for a villa. Once you have agreed your maximum budget its important to get a feel for what you can purchase for this sum in several different areas and locations.

If you are lucky enough to not be restrained or have a large budget the sky really is the limit when looking for luxury Spanish villas for sale in Spain. There are some incredible homes for sale in both coastal and rural areas, some conventional some abstract. Many have external design influences and a favourite is the total luxury style of the Arab culture.


Location

Next consider Location. If you have a limited budget then you have to decide whether you want to purchase a smaller villa in a premium location such as Marbella or other coastal town, or if you are happy to live slightly further away from the coast and obtain a more substantial property for your money.
