Aragon, a desert land area in Spain is to get a big boost with its regional government recently approving a 16 billion euro project for a massive Las Vegas style resort to be built over the next decade. Currently referred to as Gran Escala (large scale), the resort will be built on 5,000 acres of land in the desert of north-eastern Spain and will include five theme parks and 32 hotels, media reports say.

According to theses reports, a bullring, stadium, conference centre and even wedding chapels are all part of this ambitious plan backed by a group of international entrepreneurs. It is rumoured, the casino city will make Disneyland Paris seem like a backyard playground.

These developments though in direct conflict with the awareness of sustainable water development raised by Expo Zaragoza 2008, are sure to bring in lot of attention on Spanish property, a fact that would raise the demand for Spain property even more in the future.
