Book a Flight to Thailand
Thailand has three international airports; Bangkok’s new Savarnabhumi Airport, Chiang Mai and Phuket, with many flights available from Heathrow to Bangkok. Named Suvarnabhumi (“Golden Land”) by His Majesty the King, the new airport is expected to be the most modern in all Asia.
Phuket and Chiang Mai Airports - Thailand is spending 2.69 billion baht (US$ 66 million) to upgrade Chiang Mai and Phuket airports, both of which are expected to be completed by the end of 2006.
Investors will be very encouraged to see that much is currently being done to improve the transport infrastructure in Thailand, making it an ideally served region in many aspects:
A 28-km overhead rail link is also under construction between downtown Bangkok and the new airport and this will cut travelling time between the airport and the city centre to only 15 minutes.
