Demand among German consumers for holidays in Turkey is set to increase, an expert has predicted.
Huseyin Baraner, chairman of the Europe-Turkey Tourism Business Council, said the country would become popular among Germans as a result of a new marketing campaign, reports the Turkish Daily News.
A series of advertisements will be broadcast on television networks in order to promote Turkey as a good holiday destination.
The three-minute videos will feature a range of German celebrities and could be seen by up to 46 million people.
Mr Baraner commented: "It will be the biggest Turkey campaign that has been carried out so far."
He described the publicity drive as a "very important" promotional opportunity, adding that it would have a positive impact on the country's profile in Germany.
Adverts will focus on major tourist areas such as Antalya, an area that the Telegraph recently highlighted as a popular place with overseas property investors from Britain.
