Demand for services with Turkey's national air carrier is likely to prove to be beneficial for investors in the country.

The Voices newspaper reports that increasing passenger numbers have led to Turkish Airlines expanding its fleet.

Additional planes are being purchased, while existing aircraft will be replaced over the next few years.

Although this measure is being taken in order to accommodate recent growth, the airline has not ruled out the possibility of repeating the process further down the line.

Temel Kotil, general manager of Turkish Airlines, told the newspaper: "We’ve reached high growth rates in recent years and our aim is to carry 30 million passengers by 2010."

This should prove to be good news for overseas property investors in Turkey, as it indicates continuing demand for temporary accommodation across the country.

BuyAssociation recently cited its tourist industry as one of the main reasons for its popularity with foreign buyers.
