Turkey has investment potential because of growth in property prices and soaring rental demand, one expert has said.

According to the director of property news provider Amberlamb, buyers should not rule out Turkey, although there are some serious issues that should be considered.

Rhiannon Williamson said that build quality and location are both matters that need to be addressed before making a decision.

However, researching the market thoroughly will help to ensure the long-term attraction of a property.

Failing to do this could mean dwindling rental incomes and faltering resale potential, she remarked.

There are around 63,500 properties in Turkey owned by foreign investors, mostly along the coast or in the big cities.

The number one place for buyers is the resort town of Antalya on the Mediterranean Coast, according to Homesgofast.com.
