The economic downturn in the UK is not dampening consumer demand for trips to the sun, industry experts have stated.
According to TUI Travel, there is no indication that British people are giving up their holidays this year.
This is despite growing economic uncertainty in the UK, rising living costs and fears of a looming recession.
Peter Long, chief executive of TUI Travel, commented: "Our customers place enormous value on their holidays.
"We are seeing no evidence to suggest that demand is slowing."
He added that Turkey is proving to be particularly popular with British holidaymakers this year, a development which bodes well for its rental market.
This follows similar findings from other companies in the sector, including holiday firm Milestones.
The organisation said Turkey's increased popularity is partly due to the strength of the euro against the pound, as this has driven up the cost of taking a break inside the eurozone.
