Istanbul is the best investment hotspot in Europe, it has been suggested.
PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Urban Land Institute both named it as the best place to invest in the continent after property investors there enjoyed a 42 per cent growth since February last year, according to Hot Property Turkey.
The booming situation for investors has been put down to supply and demand, the increasing population and the availability of finances.
Serious overcrowding has led to the development of many new suburbs to cope with the demand, the website said.
In addition to this, it noted that new transport routes are needed to connect the suburban areas to the city centre and the guaranteed price increase is 35 per cent or higher for some of these new developments.
In news related to Turkish property investment, buyers of Bodrum property have been told they need not worry about healthcare.
Dominic Whiting, who edits the Buying in Turkey property guide, told Property Wire that the quality of care in Bodrum is "equal and in many cases far superior to that available in the UK".
