Property in Turkey bought by Liverpool comic

Comedian Ricky Tomlinson has spoken positively of his decision to purchase two holiday homes in Turkey.

The Liverpudlian star of The Royle Family recently bought houses in the resort of Altinkum, along the country's west coast.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he said he was drawn to Turkey by a number of factors, such as its good weather and relatively low property values.

Tomlinson commented: "I think it is great that people can still aspire to buy property in Turkey at such affordable prices."

He stated that the Altinkum area has a "fantastic" culture, while people have a very positive attitude towards their lives.

The Scouse comic added that he hopes the region will become his second home.

This comes after Shelter Offshore said that now would be a good time to buy a property in Turkey.

According to the website, current market conditions "could not be better".
