Owners of rental accommodation in Turkey may be in line to benefit from an influx of British visitors over the next few days.
According to online travel agent TravelRepublic, the European country is attracting a large number of bank holiday tourists.
Indeed, figures show that bookings for Dalaman have gone up by 260 per cent since the last August bank holiday.
This means that demand for temporary lodgings in the region will be much higher than it was this time last year.
As a result, people who own a rental property in Dalaman could be well-placed to cash in on this trend.
Paul Furner, managing director of TravelRepublic, commented: "The recent erratic weather has led to a defined spike in interest in getting away for the bank holiday."
He added that people in the UK seem to be prepared to pay "quite significant amounts" in order to spend time overseas.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents, two million Britons are set to spend the bank holiday weekend out of the country.
