Turkey has been tipped as one of the easiest places for those wishing to leave the UK to relocate to because of its low cost of living.
Overseas lifestyle magazine Shelter Offshore said there are ways in which even those of modest means or who are unable to sell a property to finance a move can emigrate from Britain if this is their ambition.
"Start your own business, seriously downsize, move to a far more affordable country such as Turkey for example," it advised.
Such advice came as the publication noted the increasing tendency of Britons to move overseas, something it said the recession has helped to increase.
It quoted official government statistics showing that 395,000 people left Britain in 2008, compared with 340,000 in 2007.
Turkey's property market is currently at the point of bottoming out, lifestyle magazine Quest Turkey recently said.
The publication advised against holding back from buying in the belief that values may fall further in the country.
