Turkey has seen rising demand from holidaymakers in recent months, according to the nation's Culture and Tourism Office, which could be good news for people who have invested in property in the country.
Irfan Onal, director of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK, said that not only is Istanbul proving to be a city break hotspot, but people are also travelling to less well known areas to sample the natural delights and water sports on offer.
He added that this popularity has led to several airlines increasing the number of flights to Turkey they offer, which could also benefit people with Antalya real estate listings.
Figures released by the Turkish Directorate General of State Airports Authority in July highlight that Turkey's airports welcomed 44.6 million passengers in the first half of 2010, marking a 24 per cent increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period last year.
According to data from the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry, 32,000 Britons now own property in the country.
