A number of new residential schemes are being constructed in the seaside resort of Alanya, Turkey in a bid to attract British buyers, it has been claimed.
According to Homes Overseas, many British purchasers are shunning traditional destinations in favour of countries such as Turkey due to the current low value of the pound against the euro.
One such development in the coastal city is The Hill, which will feature a range of one, two and three-bedroom properties in close proximity to the beach.
Investors considering making a purchase at the development might wish to note that prices may be slightly more than expected, with a one-bedroom apartment starting from £89,000.
However, Andrew Hawkings, head of estate agent Chesterton International, noted that the properties are "top quality" and are on a level with those found at similar, more expensive resorts in other countries.
Turkey's culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay recently claimed that the country will have played host to over 25 million tourists by the end of 2008.
