A second home buyer from the UK has praised the affordability of the Turkish property market.
Bernard Tomlinson, a 60-year-old from Cheshire, recently purchased a residence in Antalya province with his wife Ann.
The couple plan to use the £235,000 villa as a holiday home, although they will rent it out if they are not using it themselves.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Mr Tomlinson was upbeat about his latest acquisition, which is located in the coastal town of Kalkan.
He commented: "Turkey offers great value for money. Kalkan is a beautiful area."
Mr Tomlinson added that tight planning restrictions in the region means that it will retain its natural beauty for years to come, as these will prevent overdevelopment.
This comes after Business Week stated that property values in Turkey are much cheaper than those in other Mediterranean locations such as Spain or Italy.
