Overseas property investors are currently finding Turkey a good place in which to own a holiday home.
According to Property Wire, more than 27 million foreign leisure travellers are set to arrive in the country this year.
Since this is up on the amount recorded last year, this means that demand for rental accommodation in the country is also on the rise.
Many of the visitors were said to be people from the UK, despite the fact that the country is currently teetering on the brink of an economic recession.
Property Wire added that an unprecedented number of British people are snapping up homes along Turkey's coastline.
"Record numbers of British property buyers are being attracted by the country's spectacular scenery, sandy beaches and excellent value for money," it commented.
According to the Times, one in ten holidaymakers in Turkey are choosing to book lodgings in holiday homes.
The newspaper said this shows that demand for good quality buy-to-let accommodation is strong in various parts of the country.
