Buy-to-let investors who have purchased property in Turkey will be pleased to learn that the country is not just a summer destination.
According to the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office in the UK, thanks to its geographical location and striking landscapes there is plenty to offer winter visitors.
The comments come after Turkey’s minister of culture and tourism, Ertugrul Gunay, reported that the country had experienced a highly successful year in terms of tourism and is expecting this rapid growth to continue.
Indeed, Turkey is attracting much interest from travellers, with it recently being named as the Conde Nast reader’s favourite holiday destination.
"Istanbul has been popular due to Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture. But all across Turkey is proving increasingly popular, from coastal destinations to inland treasures such as Cappadocia to name just a few," A spokesperson from the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK, said.
The spokesperson added that the country is also good value for visitors due to its position outside the eurozone.
