A retired couple from the UK have highlighted the lifestyle benefits of living in another country.
David and Rosemary Nigbur decided that they wished to spend their retirement overseas and considered moving to Greece, reports the Sun.
However, the couple told the newspaper that they considered the country too expensive for their needs, as prices had "shot up" following its entry into the European Union.
They eventually decided to look at other possible alternatives along the Mediterranean coastline and finally opted to set up home in Turkey.
Commenting on the move, Mrs Nigbur said: "It was never going to be completely easy relocating to another country but we are very, very happy."
She added that Turkey is a "stunning" place to live which offers affordable living costs.
Earlier this week, Business Week stated that house price in Turkey are likely to go up by more than 12 per cent this year.
