Paul Collins of the BuyAssociation website recommended the country partly because of it was much less expensive than other Mediterranean markets.
However, he said that it still offered similar lifestyle benefits to places such as Spain and Portugal, including a "great climate".
Mr Collins commented: "It is one of the countries where you can get cheaper property and it's still on the Mediterranean."
However, he said that since property values are heading upwards, prospective investment property purchasers would be well-advised to purchase a residence early.
The growth in prices will be good news for owners of a Turkish property, as it means they can sell it on a considerable profit in the future.
Meanwhile, Home Move has reported that house prices in Turkey have risen by up to 20 per cent in some areas during the last year.
