Turkey recommended to winter holidaymakers

Turkey has been flagged up as an ideal location for people who want to enjoy a holiday during the winter.

According to the Irish Independent, the European country is now serviced by a number of direct flights, which means it is now far more accessible than it was in the past.

This means that leisure travellers can easily reach Turkey and enjoy its various attractions, such as its attractive surroundings.

Istanbul was highlighted as a particularly good place to visit, partly because it is well-serviced by airlines.

The Irish Independent commented: "It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it is a good place to shake off the over-exposure to Christmas."

An influx of holidaymakers during the winter months is likely to be a positive development for owners of rental accommodation in Turkey.

Tourism is likely to have a significant impact on rental demand in certain areas, which means investors could be able to pick up healthy returns.

According to the Association of British Travel Agents, the number of summer bookings for trips to Turkey has gone up by 20% this year.
