Turkey is likely to become even more popular with holidaymakers after it was named travellers' favourite country at the Conde Nast 12th Annual Readers' Travel Awards earlier this month.
The nation also claimed the number two spot in The World's top 100 nations.
Irfan Onal, director of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK, said: "This is the highlight in what has been a very successful year at the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK. Indeed, visitor numbers from the UK continue their spectacular rise, with year-on-year figures up 15.5 per cent for the first seven months of this year."
According to Julian Walker, a property agent in Turkey, the country's popularity with holidaymakers is likely to boost the Turkish property market, with enquires about the nation increasing year-on-year.
He told Easier.com that Turkey offers great value for money.
Last week, Select Resorts said that Turkey offers an "exciting" real estate market, which has seen significant levels of growth in the past two years.
