Abu Dhabi recommended to investors

Overseas property buyers have been encouraged to consider potential investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi.

The emirate has recently been thrust into the limelight as a result of the takeover of Manchester City Football Club by an Abu Dhabi-based property company.

As a result, Shelter Offshore believes it could soon be the subject of more attention from foreign property investors.

Commenting on the region, the online portal said it compares favourably with neighbouring emirate Dubai.

However, it stated that it also has a number of key differences, such as relatively cheap property values and ongoing growth in the market.

Shelter Offshore remarked: "Abu Dhabi could be a far more attractive prospect on all levels than Dubai can now ever be."

The comments come after the United Arab Emirates was included in Jet-to-Let magazine's list of the most popular overseas property markets among British buyers.

This is the first time the country has been named as one of the publication's top ten investment hotspots.
