A property broadcaster has spoken highly of the investment potential currently on offer in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Jo Sinnott, host of Real Estate TV's Next Big Thing series, said areas such as Dubai are good options for overseas property investors to consider.

However, she told Property Wire that other parts of the country are following its lead and attracting a growing number of foreign buyers.

Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) was highlighted as one of the main hotspots for investors, partly because it offers a number of lifestyle and financial benefits.

Ms Sinnott commented: "Prices are still so much more affordable than Dubai.

"RAK [offers] a more laidback pace of life with some stunning beaches and a burgeoning holiday market."

The comments come after the UAE was included in Jet-to-Let magazine's list of the most popular overseas property markets among British buyers.

This is the first time the country has been named as one of the publication's top ten investment hotspots.
