A good exchange rate and greater availability of property in popular areas means that now is a good time to invest in the property market in the USA, one expert has claimed.

Adrian McDermott, managing director of Escapes2, said that Orlando, Florida, is currently experiencing oversupply within the market and relatively low demand.

With investors able to take advantage of a strong pound compared with the dollar, Mr McDermott said that people can "get an awful lot" for their money.

"Demand and supply will reach an equilibrium at some point, prices will no doubt increase," he remarked.

"This is the time to pick up a bargain."

Commenting on the situation earlier in the year, Mark Bodega, marketing director of HiFX, said that people considering buying property in the USA should remember that the pound has not traded consistently above $2 since 1975.
