There are a number of reasons why investors are beginning to buy properties in the central Indian region of the USA, it has been claimed.
According to IndyStar.com, properties in the area are being "gobbled up" by private and institutional investors from both the US and overseas.
This trend is based on a number of factors, the news provider said, including the price of properties compared with the more expensive coasts and the "slow but steady" increase in property values, it claimed.
Additionally, the state offers a favourable tax code enabling investment companies to defer taxes within a certain timeframe if they choose to swap one property for another.
In related news, Mark Bodega, director of currency specialists HiFX, recently urged people planning to retire or live in the USA to consider ways of "locking into" the current favourable exchange rate.
"Buying currency on a regular basis for any reason is time consuming and currency fluctuations can make budgeting impossible," he warned.
