Be creative, US property renters told

Those who are looking to rent out a property to tourists in the US should do more to ensure it is competitive in a large market, it has been stated.

More accommodation of this kind is available and holidaymakers tend to book late and seek bargains, the New York Times has noted.

Making a home attractive by carrying out work on it can help achieve a high level of occupancy, Orlando property owner Victor Nawrocki told the paper.

Speaking about the way he applied a Disney theme to the home, he stated: "If I want to be fully booked, I have to offer more features that renters can’t find elsewhere."

A recent poll of cities that wealthy Americans most wish to visit by tourist research firm Ypartnership showed that New York and Las Vegas were the most popular, with Orlando in sixth place.
