Florida is an 'attractive investment option'

Property investment in Florida is one of the best and most attractive purchases that an investor can currently make, it has been suggested.

According to Steven Worboys, managing director of real estate experts Experience International, the distressed market in the region presents investors with a golden opportunity to grab a bargain.

Some properties in the sunshine state are selling with discounts of up to 72 per cent and many experts have suggested that the worst of the housing crisis will be over within a "year or so", making this the ideal time to buy.

"From our extensive research we believe that Below Market Value property in Florida remains one of the most attractive investment opportunities available today," Mr Worboys explained.

In addition to the mammoth discounts on offer, investors will also be able to take advantage of other perks to be found in the US state.

The region possesses a strong economy and a growing and increasingly affluent population, Florida is also considered to be a world class tourism destination with over 80 million visitors during 2008.

Figures from Realty Trac show that the number of distressed properties available in Florida rose by almost 15 per cent in February on a month-on-month basis.
