The US state of Florida is proving to be highly popular with Canadian holidaymakers, according to a news website.
Canada.com said that factors such as its reliability and value for money had made Florida an appealing destination for people from its neighbouring country.
The online portal added that the state also had a number of other factors in its favour, such as good transport links with Canada.
Commenting on the country, it said: "This second winter home for many Canadians may not be the most exotic warm-weather destination but it is one of the most reliable, accessible and affordable."
Canada.com listed Florida in its list of recommended holiday destinations, naming it as one of the world's most desirable spots, along with places such as Brazil and Portugal.
This comes after figures from Florida's state tourism department revealed that people from Canada accounted for the largest group of visiting holidaymakers during 2006.
