Those buying second homes in Florida that may be used for holiday rentals may be well advised to do so in Orlando, it has been suggested.
An article for eGruve.com stated that there are a number of good reasons for choosing the city as a short-term letting location.
These included the rise in holidaymaker numbers, the lower cost of hurricane insurance compared to coastal locations and the presence of "serious incentives" on offer from sellers.
Another feature listed was the presence of attractions such as Universal Studios, Disney World and SeaWorld, which are year-round destinations, rather than seasonal ones such as beaches.
This means that there will be more rental opportunities, enabling an investment to "pay for itself quickly", the portal added.
One part of Orlando may attract new investors as it is honouring new president Barack Obama.
Part of Mission Road in Orlando West is set to be renamed Barack Obama Highway after a vote by the city council, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
